SENIOR CITIZEN BEAUTY CONTEST : instructions for the contestant

SOME INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW
1. 1. Please bring your original age proof with photocopy (Voter id
card, ADHAAR cards, Madhyamik admit card, Passport, Pension file etc, any one).
Your award will liable to be cancelled if anyone claims your original proof of
age and you don’t able to show.
2. 2. Candidates will be divided into two groups: 60-70 and 71+. Males
and females will be considered in different groups. That means there will be
four prizes.
3. 3. Please know your weight and height.
4. 4. After registration you will get a unique number. At this program
you will be known by this unique number not by name.
5. 5. Please dress up yourself extraordinary and eye catching. It will
carry some votes. Non-contestant attendees will give vote to you. You need not
walk on ramp.
6. 6. You will get a questionnaire to fill. It is written in English
and Bengali both languages. To fill it, max. 15 min. is sufficient. Before filling
up please read instructions carefully. Any deviation from instructions you will
liable to be disqualified from contest.
7. 7. Your performance likely recitation, reading own poetry or story,
singing etc. will carry extra marks. You will get max. 5 min to perform.
8. 8. You may appear to the judges for question session, if needed.
9. 9. Judges decision is final.

Senior citizen Beauty Contest and Matrimonial Meet

Citizen Beauty Contest
(Searching for best person who
follow Active Ageing)
This program is mainly to find a person who is physically
and mentally active in regards to his/ her age. This program is not merely to
find physical beauty. One questionnaire will be distributed to the contestants.
Moreover performance of individual will be marked. We are running this program
for four years at our premises. Last year Ei Samay published a news. It is open-to-all program. But Senior
Citizens will be contestant automatically.
Total number of guests will be MAXIMUM 100. Program will continue from 10
am to 3 pm. Day, we have selected as
2nd Nov, 2016 - birthday of our organization.
Senior Citizen Matrimonial Meet

This is an almost a new idea in West Bengal. Those who are single or
alone, likely widow, divorcee, unmarried may find their partners from this
meet. They can marry or live together or make friendship. We are just giving a
platform to the lone elders to meet themselves. We will not do anything like
matrimonial organization or counselor. Choosing partner is the discretion of
the participants. Recent research studies showed that further partnership
increases the life expectancy, health status. This partnership may come from
either marriage or live-in relationship (Senior citizens’ matrimonial meet
evokes good response, The Hindu, B’lore, February 3, 2014). The population of
elderly is rising very rapidly. The elderly population in India is such: 8.0%
in 2011, projected > 10% in 2021 and >20% by 2050. 58% of women 60+ are
widows/ unmarried/ divorced (ref. census of India 2011). Out of 9 elders 1 is suffering
from loneliness. In other states senior
citizen matrimonial has been started with grand success. Mr. Natubhai Patel
(09825185876) of Ahmedabad is the pioneer in this field. He is doing in this
field for more than 10 yrs. Mr. Patel once tried to organize this program at
Kolkata, but that program gave no fruit. We want to organize this program with
the technical assistance of VINA MULYA AMULYA SEVA (Mr. Patel’s organization).
We have selected 1st Dec, 2016. The timing will be
1pm to 5 pm. Maximum 100 participants will be allowed.
Both
programs will be held at “Calcutta Sports
Journalists’ Club”, Maidan Tent, Kolkata.
