Sunderbon is named from the tree ‘sundari’ – the mangrove forest, where there is no road – transport is only by boat. We are not going just to see the nature, the wilds. We will also see the social picture of the local people and will try to conceive the lives.

	6.00 pm	Documentary film show on Sunderbon, Interaction with jele/ moule who met tigers at jungle, a speech by Mr. Dulal Chandra Das, teacher of a local school on  Ethos of Sunderbon
	8.30 pm	Dinner
21.03.17	7.00 am	Deck-in at boat for whole day trip. Places to visit: Burir dabri, Bagnar office (tower), Satjelia, Mollakhali, Kumirmari etc. Breakfast, lunch at boat
	6.00 am	Recreational program at hotel Jhumur gan by local artists Cocktail
	8.30	Dinner
22.03.17	8.00 am	Deck-in at boat for whole day trip. Places to visit: Sajnekhali, Sudhanyakhli, Dobanki (tower) etc. Breakfast, lunch at boat
	6.00 am	Recreational program at hotel Banabibir pala by local artists Cocktail
	8.30	Dinner
23.03.17	8.30 am	Breakfast at hotel
	9.00 am	Local village visit, Rangabelia project visit. 1.30 hrs. trip by auto
	1.30 pm	Lunch at hotel
	4.30 pm	Tea at hotel
	6.00 pm	Camp fire, cocktail with roasted chicken, feedback questionnaire distribution and lastly dinner.
24.03.17	9.00 am	Breakfast
	10.00 am	Deck-in at boat to return
	1.00 pm	Lunch at boat
	3.00 pm	Boarding at bus at Godkhali
	6.00 pm	Return at THIKANA SHIMLA. Thus end of tour.

SEATS: 30 senior citizens only.

ACCOMMODATION: At Apanjan Hotel (Non-AC), Pakhiralaya, Gosaba. Hot water available after payment of Rs. 20 per bucket (individual expenses). All rooms are four bedded with attached toilet.

COST:

In case of four persons per room (four bedded): INR 4950 per head (economic)

In case of two persons per room (four bedded): INR 5450 per head (suitable for couple)

In case of one person per room (four bedded): INR 6450 per head (who dislikes to share room with others)

Members of THIKANA SHIMLA will not get any monetary benefit. Pricing is same to all.

SUPPORT STAFFS: 5 females, 3 males.

DOCTOR: Dr. Amitava De Sarkar with necessary emergency arrangement.

TRANSPORT:  50 seated luxury coach, 1 Maruti Eeco – for support staffs.

BOAT:  The boats are equipped with seats in deck to view nature, toilet with commode and bed to lie in cabin. In whole day trip, if you get tired may lie down in bed for rest. Boat will stop at concrete jetty only. We will help you to get-in or get-out. So don’t get feared to deck-in or deck-out. 

FOOD: Less oil, less spicy but mouth watering food made from high grade food materials will be served. We will try to serve diet for patients (likely diabetic diet etc). You can choice veg/ non veg option at the time of depositing money. No change of option can be entertained within the tour.

WATER: Total packaged drinking water for drinking and cooking, Room supply is pond water by hotel electrical water supply system. In all hotels at Sunderban this is the common system. Underground water is not available in Gosaba Island.

BOOKING METHOD: 

Booking: Members of THIKANA SHIMLA will get priority in booking. As there is a huge craze, please make application on plain paper or through mail (thikana_shimla@yahoo.co.in). Seats will be booked on first come first serve basis. You will not be asked for your money, it’s your duty; otherwise next person will get scope.  Money will be collected preferably through bank. Please ask for our bank data.

Cancellation: Only 50% will be refunded if cancelled on or before 28^th Feb, 2017. No refund after that. Anybody, who is unable to go, may send any elder of either sex in exchange of him/her. However, if we can collect another person, 50% money will be refunded who cancelled after 28^th Feb, 2017, but there is no guarantee. Cancellation money will be considered as surplus money. This money will be used in our Ambulance project.

PICK UP AND DROP FROM KOLKATA: The coach will go through Kolkata. Persons from Kolkata can avail the coach at two select points. The probable points are race course (just opposite military training centre) and Pc Chandra Garden near Science City Em Bypass. Please ask before ward for perfect stoppage point. You can avail same points when returning.

PLEASE NOTE: 1. Anybody does not want to attend any part of the schedule; he/she may stay at hotel. That’s time his/her food should be arranged by his/her own. Please arrange food from hotel official before time. 3. Everybody is requested to attend the scheduled program in time. Boat or auto will never detain for you. 4. Time schedule may change due to unavoidable circumstances. 5. It is your responsibility to ask next schedule and timing from the management. 6. Request for non-senior citizen family members to accompany will not be entertained.
